World leaders gathered at the United Nations Climate Summit COP28 UAE to call for global action on climate change. With Turkey’s high-level participation in the program, We had the opportunity to listen to a comprehensive speech by our President, in which he shared his commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement, Turkey’s climate policy and renewable energy targets.
On this historic day, we had the chance to meet Mr. Macron, the President of France. The climate summit provides the opportunity for meaningful dialogues between leaders of different countries and to find common solutions.
At the end of the day, our private conversation with the President of the @United Arab Emirates, Mr. Zayed En-Nehyan, about the UAE’s investment in Turkey and our meeting with the head of the relevant office was promising for future cooperation.
We also had the opportunity to speak privately with Mrs. Emine Erdoğan about Turkey’s sustainability policies.
During the event, we also had the chance to meet with the Prime Minister of Lebanon together with the President’s delegation and had a delegation meeting with the Emperor of Japan.
We were honored to represent Turkey at this event and to highlight our country’s contribution to a sustainable future. At the MUSIAD session on December 5, we will further expand Turkey’s environmental vision.
